ITEC 7430: Thing 19 Google Docs

Here is the link to my published presentation! I uploaded slides from a project we did last semester, edited it, changed the theme, and then published.

Google Docs seems to be user friendly. It is similar to formats we are already used to. Google docs would be great for keeping up with notes in class and sharing with others. I will share Google Docs with my students before they begin their 'Math Curse' project. Students are allowed to work together on the project and it never fails that someone's partner is out for a few days and cannot work on the project due to the partner having the flash drive. This will eliminate the need for flash drives as students can easily share the document.

Google docs can be useful if my team teachers or department teachers are working on a common document such as a quiz, test, brochure, letter, etc... The document can easily be edited by all parties and everyone will not when a change to the document has been made. I also liked how data can be collected with Google Docs. This makes for quick and easy surveys. I also noticed there was a drawing feature that I also played around with. I did not realize there were so many options within Google Docs.

  1. I love your presentation! There are some really good advice in there!!! I have never thought of using Google Docs to help create our common assessment finals, but that is a great idea! We usually have one person take all the questions, put them together, then we all vote. It would be much easier to have everyone individually put them in the document, so we could see the final product faster. I have not seen the drawing feature. I will have to play with that!

  2. I'm with you! It's great that with Google Docs more than one person can work on a document or project! It's great because the docs can be updated from anywhere!! It makes working on something collaboratively easier!
